Twin Scaling

Using twin scaling, bulb plants are reproduced using bulb segments two scales thick, dusted with fungicide, and placed in barely moist vermiculite Twin scaling is similar to, though more traumatic than bulb scaling and bulb chipping. Bulbs are again cut into quarters, then each quarter is separated into pairs of scales, or twin scales that are still attached by a small part of the basal plate. Dust with fungicidal powder, place in barely moist vermiculite, and await until bulblet formation as with bulb scaling.
